Hallett Library Recognizes Volunteers
Each year countless hours and services are provided to your Library and community by volunteers who give of their time and their many skills. In 2016, 2,265 volunteer hours were recorded at the Jessie F. Hallett Memorial Library. National Volunteer Recognition Week April 23-29 is celebrated across the United States. JFHML Volunteers will be recognized on Monday, April 24 after hours from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Deerstand in Deerwood. The recognition includes a group photo, Comedy Ventriloquist Show, hors d’oeuvres, beverages and prizes.
The following Library volunteers will be honored for their many hours of time and talents that enrich Library service to our area. The following volunteers served between April 2016 and April 2017:
Appreciation is extended to the dedicated Jessie F. Hallett Memorial Library Board Board: Cathy Aykens, Don Boucher, Mary Gaviglio, Seth Jackson, Greg Maddux, Bob Novak, and Barbara Ukura. The grantwriting skills of Mary Gaviglio are essential for the Library to maintain up-to-date technology and keep a sustainable vision for the future.
The Library Staff is assisted by Hallett Helpers and recycling, maintenance & grounds keepers who are valuable and appreciated: DeBlonde Johnson, Virg Panitzke, Mike Beseres and Cary Klingner.
A special contribution is made by the fully trained AARP Tax Help volunteers: Kay & Larry Chismar, Rick & Pat Wimmer, Avis Puchreiter and Mary Birtzer.
