40th Anniversary Open House
Thursday, August 16, 10:00 – 5:00
Join us as we celebrate our 40th anniversary during Heritage Days!
At 2:30 p.m. on June 18, 1978, the Jessie F. Hallett Memorial Library was the site of a special dedication ceremony. The invocation was read by Reverend Colin B. Kivi followed by Mr. E.W. Hallett presenting the Library to the community in memory of his beloved wife, Jessie Fern. During the past thirty years, the Cuyuna Range has watched the Library grow and prosper as a living tribute to Mrs. Hallett’s memory. The Library continues to reside under the City of Crosby, and is served by a dedicated and active seven-member Library Board. The Jessie F. Hallett Memorial Library is funded yearly by a grant from the Hallett Trusts and by local government, township, civic, community and individual support.
Our mission remains the same: To inform, educate and culturally enrich the community, to offer a broad range of library materials and services, to provide a safe environment, and to encourage lifelong learning and knowledge through self-education and the joy of reading.
