The Pat Smith Memorial Golf Fundraiser honors a remarkable man whose life was deeply connected to our library. Pat was not only the son of our first librarian and the father of our current librarian, but also a dedicated treasurer of the Friends Foundation. A familiar face at the library and a devoted golfer, Pat spent his retirement perfecting his swing, aiming for 100 rounds each summer and participating in the Tuesday and Thursday Men’s Leagues. This event is our way of honoring Pat’s passion for both the library and golf, while raising support for the library he loved so much.
