About the author and book:
Never did I realize I would share my life and dreams with over 35,000 Haitian and Tanzanian people for 35 years. And what an honor it would be to have the opportunity to do so.
“NOW I CAN SLEEP” is the story of how I got to Haiti, and why, despite cultural challenges and sometimes dangerous adventures, I continue to be actively and lovingly involved.
Meet the generous Haitian people who may not know how they are going to feed their children tomorrow, or know those children won’t be able to go to school. And see how they change when they join Mothers Clubs and receive their first of many small loans.
Families eat, kids go to school, and despite devastating natural disasters, health crises, and gang violence, HOPE enters their lives.
